Ken Yamakoshi Makes Great Stuff.

Ken at ODD last year, trying to figure out how to tell me I don't look so good.

Ken makes sweet stuff. O.K., Xpedo makes great stuff. Ken is the marketing manager there for WELLGO's premium pedal line...and that is Xpedo. Ken is a great guy, and he manages the Parkpre sponsored pro road team Sucessful Living. He lives in So Cal, and is a father now. He has a long standing family tradition in cycling. His father started the PARKPRE line of bicycles many eons ago. Ken and I agree on most things. Most things except one. He thinks he's the sexiest man in the bike industry, and clearly that title goes to me. Freakin' Ken and his crazy notions.

The Xpedo stuff we have been running for some years now has performed extraordinarily well. The hollow Ti spindles on the MF1A's have not broken at all, and that's after three years of abuse. The bearings spin like brand new (unlike some of those 4 sided pedals that run outer bushings that get sloppy, Xpedo runs inboard and outboard bearings)and have developed NO slop at all. The gravity pedals also have proven more than durable. Taylor has broken everything he's bought and/or has been given this year, but his pedals are still fine.

The Xpedo cleats are also compatible with SHI*MANO cleats, so if you wan to dump those portly and expensive XTR kicks and lighten the load...you can still run those ancient spin shoes you have been hanging on to for thirteen years.

Ken will be at the Outdoor Demo and in the hall for Interbike, and he will certainly have some new product to ooh and ahh over. Make sure you roll by and ask to see what he's got for 2009!
