More Interbike Action

Bert's future ex-wife, Willow Koerber (Subaru/Gary Fisher). She is 4'8" tall, but with the hair done, she is 6'9"!

Vanessa getting cozy with a Ti Racer-X at ODD..

The perfect 'cross pedal, brought to you by XPEDO. It has a three-way adjustable cleat entry, and has three sealed bearings for ultimate smoothness and longevity in adverse conditions. This pedal was amazingly smooth, and the entry was perfect for the constant mount-dismount of 'cross...

The new SIGMA KARMA headlight. Inexpensive and brighter than Copernicus, it will be the best new light product for 2008 racers who love the night action.

Seven Cycles has always had a great booth, and this year was no exception. They rolled out the new Diamas and V11 Road bikes (beautiful beyond belief) and once again had the gracious Mary and Michael in attendance. Thanks to Jennifer Miller for her continued support of our riders and the new product explanations at the show!

Jude Monica (MAGURA) was at ODD with all their newest wares. Their new ML130 fork with dual brake arches was stiff and bullett-proof. He is always eager to help and explain, and is a World Class mechanic who takes care of his riders and consumers with lightening fast warranty returns.

Mary Mac (KENDA/SEVEN CYCLES) and I had our usual pleasantries, and she was kind enough to pose for me in front of her NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING xc bike. We love her, and if she didn't love Michael so much, I'd have her barefoot and pregnant myself! :)

This bike has amazed me for the past two years, and this year it was all carbon! La Pierre bikes has had this X-Brace fully XC bike out since 2005, and is always a showstopper. If you haven't seen or ridden this bike, you are mising out on one of the most amazingly simple, yet innovative bikes on the planet.

KENDA's new Kommando Cyclcross tire was on display at the show, and Bert Blanchette, Mary Mac and Mike Broderick will all be R&D'ing this tire for the coming 'cross season..

Product developer for Sunline, Backbone DH racer and all around swell feller Jay Schippers convincing people that his stuff is not for douche nozzles. Look for Backbone Adventure Cycling's gravity riders to be bombing the course on Sunline products for 2008...

Jason First and the peeps at Crank Bros. have been struggling with production of their COBALT crankset..but DAZZLED the show with one of the most breathtaking pieces of bike lust ever seen...the new COBALT wheelsets. One for freeriding and the other for XC, these things had enough innovations and design wonders to fill the U.S. patent office and the Musee D'Orsay!

The Cobalt Blue wheelset...

Remember the old GT LTS? Apparently so did the engineers at Bianchi. They completely JACKED the rear end layout, changing it so slightly as to be almost funny. The only thing interesting that made it NOT trample on design right litigation was the Formula 1 style carbon leaf spring layout that made the rear end's travel pivot-free...

The flat rear "leaf" of carbon aft of the bottom bracket made for a light fully...

The always fun and kinda bad-ass belt drive found on some of the smaller custom builders' bikes. Rohloff is in developement as we speak for a conversion kit that will accept this technology!

The new TITUS FIRELINE 29er Ti hardtail bike! Check the super-sweet black-chrome finish! They also had a great EXOGRID baseball bat there. I have really enjoyed the crew at Titus, and could not have asked for better guys (and girls) to work with.

****Check back for more pix and products from the show later!!!*****
