UNION HOTEL RE-OPEN!

The above pic is of the old Victorian Mansion in perfectly PERFECT little Los Alamos, California. Long time owner and friend Kris had to give the ol' place up a few months ago..but the new ownership has NOT torn it down and built a Marriott. They have spent tons of hours and cash fixing the place up, and as of the 1st she is ready for business! The rides that Don B and I have done from here, and the WORK he and I have done trying to keep the place from falling down are incredible.

The Union Hotel seen here in the early days, prior to the second story expansion

We have had many team functions there over the years..from Solvang Century group weekends to CFR meetings to just plain fun weekend escapes. I hope we can all begin the weekend rendesvouz and riding there soon, as it truly is a wonderful place. Where else can you go to run through a Hedge Maze?

Ming Tai from MFactor rolls up Alisal Canyon Road, just up from the Hotel.

Every year for a while now we have a had either a State Series race or an NMBS race down the road at the Firestone Walker Vineyards on Foxen Canyon Road. The race is always a fave, as is the surrounding countryside to train on. Wineries and quiet two lane roads abound here..and the Tour Of California will be rolling through this area THIS MONTH!

Nojoqui Falls, just about 30 miles South of the Union Hotel.

Anyhow...looking forward to heading back there soon...hope to see you all there..
