Congrats To Mary McConneloug!

Story and photos from MBaction.com..

Mary Mac and Mike Broderick travelled to the World Cup opener for 2009 in South Africa last weekend. The XC course was full of tree stumps and FAST! Described as feeling like the Beijing Olympic XC course, the riders were pinned from the start. Mary Mac and Elizabeth Osl (Austria) blasted out at the start and stayed together for some time, dropping the field. As the laps drug on, Elizabeth stayed consistent in her sub-21 minute lap times, as Mary had to back off the gas a bit. She still managed AN AMAZING 5TH PLACE WORLD'S FINISH, making her the top ranked U.S. XC rider in World's! GREAT JOB MARY! Michael would finish just about 16 minutes out of first, and post a great race for the weekend. The question is, will they have enough gas to get home and race Sea Otter next week?
