Trouble At Cheyenne Mountain

O.K., follow me on this one. Roger called me pretty pissed off last night from the U.S.Cup final near Colorado Springs, Colorado.
After doing all the races in the series, and having Vanessa in great shape to take home a top 5 overall..they take four days off of work, load the truck, fly Espinoza's to the race, and drive 17 hours from Long Beach to Colorado to pick them up and get to the race. After getting the KENDA trailer all worked out, they walk over to registration..and are told that there is a cap of just 100 CAT 1 riders allowed..both men and women. Vanessa is told that after traveling 17 hours, doing all the other races in the series (which had at least 700 people racing, right?), and being in a great position for an overall..she can't race. The ball has been dropped on the final race in the U.S. Cup Series West. Because they are working with the regional race promoter who has never had more than 100 people show up, they kept the same cap in place for f*****g NATIONAL??? Who thought THAT would be a great idea? Did they not see how many people have been showing up to race? Hell, there were probably 100 guys in the Sport 25-29 category alone that would have done this race. I now have to call Jim in two hours and lean on him to get her in this race as a title sponsor. OR..plan B. Roger has all the events tires for their promoters and awards ceremony in his hotel room..I saw he holds them for ransom until she is in the field. It would be different if she weren't in it for points, but she is.

I'll update the story as soon as I can. Jim Roff is on his way there now to crack some skulls...
