Backboners Blow Up Bonelli!!

GREAT JOB TO EVERYONE YESTERDAY! Thanks to everyone who came out to help, as well as race. Jay was there from Colorado, Oscar came out, Abel was there, Darter took pix, and the entire PMBC crew was grillin' like freaks!










The new Tomac's rocked the dusty and hot course, with Bert landing second in Super-D on his Carbide! Vanessa and Dawn killed it, with Vanessa winning her class and Dawn taking SILVER..after being BEGGED to even race by her fiancee. Dawn actually beat Camp-N-Ride '07 attendee and career racer Heidi Bowen!










Newcomer Matthew Thome flatted on the curbs of death on the courses back-side..but managed to pull off a THIRD place podium spot for his XC race! Nice job for the Newbie!! How sweet were the XPEDO PEDALS out there? Mine have lasted over a year already with NO problems at all..and I outweigh the Ti spindle weight limit by 30 lbs!









Brant Hatton blew up his Super-D class and took home FIRST place! Nice job Brant, way to put the hammer down. It was nice to talk to some of you yesterday over the phone, and it sounded like Roger was VERY busy feeding everyone. Thanks to Randy who showed up early to help set up!









Vanessa ended up crashing near tunnel #2 and splitting her elbow open like a peach. She still managed to take apart her XC class and her arch-rival for the victory. Way to get it done V! The Fuzz and Randy both had long days Saturday, and as a result had legs of gelatinous goo for yesterday's race.










Abel came out and rocked his race, despite being TWO MINUTES late for his start! The time change also affected Brant and Vegas Bob, who barely made their starts. Oscar came out to help, too which was great!











Props to the PMBC crew for helping out, and it loks like we may have to form an unholy alliance and use PMBC as a junior developement group for the Backbone Squad!

The Carbide's performed flawlessly for the season opener, even bringing home some bling! It looks like everyone had a great day, and Lyd could tell I was VERY home sick yesterday and wanted more than anything to be with you guys. We are working it out, and we will hopefully be back soon..for good.











Great day at the races everyone, and in fact GREAT WEEKEND! Everyone crack a fresh beer, eat some ribs, and we'll see ya soon..
